Marshals Urgently Needed for Castle Combe Sprint

Bristol Motor Club has put the call out for Marshals for their Dick Mayo Sprint at Castle Combe circuit in Wiltshire on Saturday 22nd June. The event promises an eclectic mix of road and race based classic and contemporary competition cars and being a marshal costs you absolutely nothing. In fact there are bonuses.

Experienced veterans and novices are welcome to assist and if you’ve not been involved before then marshalling is a great way to see the action first hand as a vital part of the organising team. Don’t panic though, if you are a novice you will be paired up with someone with more experience who knows what to do. You could also consider bringing a friend along for the day if you’d feel more comfortable doing that. The more the merrier.

At Castle Combe Circuit all marshals’ posts come complete with a roof, so you shouldn’t get wet regardless of what the weather throws at us. You also get a free cooked meal and a drink in the paddock restaurant at lunchtime,  a bonus of volunteering to help (we do recommend bringing some food and drink with you as well to enjoy when out on post as the cars race past).
